Hello! So, I think your most successful pieces are the second and third from the top. I also really like the color in the pears, it's subtle and vibrant at the same time (and good shadows). All of your drawings look really soft (strange comment, yes, but true even so). If possible, which it might not be given the time restraint, I think you should replace drawings 5 and 7. Five because I think it looks more designy and the color, subject, and style might not be best suited for a drawing portfolio, and seven because I think it adds something similar to #2 to your portfolio, and I think 2 is more successful...but only if you have time. ...And, you need portraiture, or figure drawing, or both! either way, people. People would be good.
You are definitely very good at making things look realistic. I think those are your most stunning pieces. #2 and #4 especially. I think you did a good job of trying different styles and techniques and experimenting with different mediums. All of your work is really beautiful!
The one of the doggy, the fruit, and the shell are incredibly realistic. And you really varied the media that you used. I like the effect that the magazines(?) in jelly fish picture give it... (poorly constructed sentence). The only thing I'd like to point out is that in the fruit drawing, the back wall doesn't align with the window seal... it angles downward more than the window seal.
Jeyeun! I really like the drawing of the doggy, it's so cute! haha & you drew it very well! I also like the jellyfish one, the pears & the profile drawing; they're BEAUTIFUL! High 5!
Mickeyyy! (idk if that's how you spell it) Your first piece looks so realistic! Your abstract ones are good as well. Your breadth is very good :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if there is much you can do to improve your breadth. I am very impressed! Everything you tried you executed wonderfully. 6.

ReplyDeleteThe still life with the shell shows a good mastery of the cloth texture. There's a lot of nice detail to look at in this piece.
ReplyDeleteAlso the JellyFish piece is very strong. The use of color is great, and the blue texture in the background works.
