Eunice: Katrina!I really like your oil paintings because the colors are bright and it really stands out in your breadth. I think your pear painting is the best out of the two. However I think you could probably work on the first one a little bit more. Maybe add some darker values especially in the hair.
I love your use of color. I think when you submit more pieces to breadth that you should continue using color because it is obvious that that is a strength for you. Your breadth is pretty expressive; I like that. Maybe add a couple more technical pieces though so you can show your ability to do detail. 5.
Katrina I think that your portfolio is kind of boring.. (I'm sorry!) Your pieces look nice and some of them stand out. Your oil ones especially but your first piece looks very bland. The background has the same value as the person which makes everything look the same. Your ink portfolio piece is also boring. You should add some color and maybe some more designs? i would say a high 4.
I really like the piece of the guy who I do not know with all of the lines (poorly constructed sentence); I feel that the lines are very dynamic, but there's enough solid white and solid black so that it's not too busy. I also really like your triptych, it has a very modern, kinda graphic feel to it.
