Rose's Breadth

  1. Hello! I think 4 and 7 (counting from top) are your most successful followed by 6 and 8. Seven is definitely the winner, I think that could definitely be a concentration if you were up for it, like a whole the most-alive-part-of-people-is-the-part-playing-their-instrument type of a thing, definitely something you could eke 12 pieces out of. Also when you edit that one, make sure to do edit>transform>skew instead of just cropping, that will make it so you don't cut out something important just because the camera was at an angle when you took the picture. I think your breadth could use some surrealism and/or expressive pastel/paint work, something messy (the pastel thing) and something weird (the surrealism thing). Also the black in # 9, and the white in some of the others are doing the same thing as some of Anya's, so ask Hevel about levels in photoshop.

  2. Eunice: hey rose! I love your triptych! It's very well done and you have a lot of color in breadth. However you can probably improve on your third piece.

  3. I really like the wide range of color in your breath. It seems like no two pieces have the same color scheme, and I like that. It might be cool to see what a little bit of the greenish color in the last piece would look like in the background of it. It looks a bit bottom heavy to me. If you added some of that greenish color to the middle top area it might help it.

  4. Rose I'm really loving the seventh piece and your triptych. I love how you make some areas colorful to draw our attention to it. It really stands out. You have a wide variety in your work and I would give it a 4 to a 5. Some of your pieces are a little boring (portrait)

  5. I really like the two ... bass(?) pieces and how they have only color in the bass(?). It dos a really good job of making the instrument the focal point. Your triptych also does the same thing. You don't over use it to make it gimmicky, it's just enough to catch and hold people's interest.

  6. Rose, I really like the triptych & the two below that. They are nicely made and work well in your breadth, I think the profile one needs more darks and make sure for it to differ from it's background. 5!
